With the new changes to Ning.com and their requirement of paid member for site owners, Sarah and I have been looking around many options for what to do with PAN's online presence. With the help of my brother, we have been considering all kinds of options. Up to and including a paid for website with domain registration and hosting. That would require some financial committment that I am not 100% we can make at this point in the game. So, here we are on Spurz.com as a temporary arrangement.

Temporary? Yes. Sarah and I are hoping to be able to make PAN's web presence more permanent, by getting that registered domain name and hosting sometime in the near future.

What needs to happen for that to occur? Well, here is where it gets a little sticky for some. We are going to have to either request donations from members, charge and annual membership fee (a small amount that would come with certain membership bonuses), or foot the bill entirely ourselves.

So, in the meantime, we are going to give Spurz a try. The Ning site will remain open through the end of June. Ning is going to require payment for use (by the site owners) starting July 1, 2010. So, we have a month to play around on Spurz and decide if we like what they have to offer.
